The conference will be held August 1-4, 1998, at the University of Wisconsin Memorial Union, 800 Langdon Street, Madison, WI. The publishers' exhibit area will be in the main lounge, where conference coffee breaks will take place. Publishers are encouraged to set up exhibits on the evening of July 31st and to remain for the entire conference. The first scheduled conference activity is early registration, which will be held in the Union Lobby on the evening of July 31st. The conference will end at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4th.

Exhibitor Responsibilities

Upon arrival, exhibitors should check in at the Memorial Union Conference Office or at the CogSci98 registration desk to learn the exact location of their exhibit.

Exhibits may be set up any time between 12:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31st.

Tables and table coverings can be rented in advance by completing the registration form for exhibitors; but exhibitors must fully assemble their own exhibits, including set up of folding tables and placement of table coverings. To assist representatives with set-up tasks, student workers will be available from 2 until 7 p.m. on Friday, July 31st.

If electronic displays are included in an exhibit, the exhibitor must furnish all equipment, including extension cords.

Although exhibits will be located in an area that can be secured at night, neither the Memorial Union nor CogSci98 will assume responsibility for loss or theft of publishers' materials or equipment from the exhibit area.

Representatives must make their own arrangements for lodging and travel. Information about lodging and transportation is provided at our conference web site.

Fees

All exhibitors will be assessed the following fees on a cost-recovery basis.

For example, a two-table exhibit with no skirt or tablecloth ($24 x 4) and with two representatives attending ($50 x 2) would cost the publisher $196, payable in advance of the conference. Copies of the published Proceedings may be purchased at the conference.

Rental and Registration

Exhibitors are asked to register and indicate their rental preferences using the registration form for exhibitors. Please complete and return the form to Sidney Raynal, WCER, 1025 West Johnson, Madison, WI 53706, before June 30, 1998. In addition, please send a printed copy of the completed form accompanied by a check for the correct amount to the address below. Please make check payable to Memorial Union/CogSci98.
