Continue to Make A Difference
Support University of Wisconsin
Department of Psychology
As you read this website, we hope you are struck with the tremendous pride that faculty, staff and students have for the department. We are doing exciting and meaningful work, preparing future scientists, teachers, clinicians, and trying to make a difference in the world. We ask that you help us achieve these goals by contributing to the department. Private gifts are increasingly critical to ensuring our excellence. Your gifts help us attract top faculty and graduate students, upgrade our technology and facilities, and so much more.
All gifts to the Psychology Department are administered in strict compliance with the instructions of the donor. An unrestricted gift (any gift not accompanied by instructions) is one where the donor leaves the administration of the funds to the discretion of the department chair.
There are many avenues to support the Department, and all gifts are appreciated. Our newest fund is the Arlene R. Davenport Psychology Career Development Award. Arlene Davenport was the first undergraduate advisor in the Psychology Department. She retired in May, 2006 after an illustrious 37 year career. The fund was established by one of the Department faculty members to benefit Psychology students with financial need and who have demonstrated an interest in a career in psychological research
We are working with the University of Wisconsin Foundation to raise additional contributions. Gifts of any size are most welcome and gratefully received. If you or someone you know would like to make a contribution, checks should be made payable to the University of Wisconsin Foundation – Psychology Department, US Bank Lockbox, PO Box 78807, Milwaukee, WI 53278-0807. For more information on making a gift, please visit the UW Foundation.
