My research focuses on three areas. (1) My research in the area of developmental psychology/psychopathology focuses on the origins, continuity, and change of individual differences in both normal and abnormal psychological traits. (2) My research in the area of social psychology and social psychiatry focuses on social inequalities and mental health. (3) My research in the area of personality psychology focuses on integrating methods and concepts from differential psychology with those in epidemiology in order to better understand how and why personality differences shape health-risk behaviors.
