My research investigates individual and group differences
in human cognition. Using an array of methodological techniques,
I explore peaks and troughs in the cognitive abilities of diverse
populations.
In one line of research, I explore
the behavioral, neural, and genetic bases of autistic children's
weakness in praxis, or the ability to plan and execute a sequence
of motor actions.
In a second line of research, I explore
whether domain (spatial, numerical, and verbal) and reasoning
level (concrete and abstract) affect performance on cognitive
tests.
