Project title: Culture and Cognition Project

Project description:
How does culture influence our thought, feeling, and action? Our lab explores the way pschological processes and socio-cultural context shape each other. Are there cultural differences in the extent to which peopel can feel both positive and negative emotions at the same time? Does the way we perceive the environments depend on culture? If so, what are the mechanisms underlying such cultural differences? There are multiple ongoing projects which include "cultural differences in regret", "cultural differences in face perception" and "effects of control on cognition".
Description of student’s responsibilities:
Research assistants will have a chance to be involved in all phases of a project: planning study, recruiting participants, running experiments, entering data into the database, and particiipating in discussions.
Description of qualifications needed for this position:
Students should be highly motivated, responsible, and have good communication skills. They must also be detail-oriented and enthusiastic about the research projects. GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
