Kamila Redd
Kamila is the Lab Manager for the Brauer Group Lab. Her research interests center on examining bias, stereotyping, and discrimination from both the perspectives of recipients and perpetrators. Her work has focused on how racial minorities in the U.S. cope with discrimination through co-rumination with confidants, examining how perceived similarity of meta-perceptions and levels of discrimination influence co-rumination and its impact on stress and social bonds. In her future work, she would like to investigate how media representations influence identity formation and perceptions, especially for individuals that hold underrepresented social identities. She received a B.A. in Psychological and Brain Sciences with a minor in statistics from Washington University in St. Louis.
