DESCRIPTION:This interactive three-part series is designed for psychology majors who are ready to search and prepare for internships and/or jobs. Through hands-on activities\, peer discussion\, and personalized guidance\, you’ll build the tools and confidence to take the next step in your career journey. \nThis series is appropriate for current students seeking internships or part-time roles\, as well as soon-to-be or recent graduates (within the past 6 months) preparing for full-time job searches. \n🧭 Session 1: How to Search for Opportunities\nTuesday\, October 21: 1:00-2:00pm CT in Room 138 Brogden Psychology Building \nExplore psychology-relevant resources\, learn how to strategically search for internships and jobs\, and begin identifying roles that align with your interests and goals. \n📝 Session 2: Resumes & Cover Letters\nTuesday\, October 28: 1:00-2:00pm CT in Room 138 Brogden Psychology Building \nLearn how to tailor your materials with intention. You’ll get tips for refining your resume and cover letter to reflect your strengths\, identify skills you’ve gained through the Psychology major\, and speak directly to the roles you’re targeting. \n💬 Session 3: Interviews\nTuesday\, November 4: 1:00-2:00pm CT in Room 138 Brogden Psychology Building \nPractice strategies to prepare for interviews with confidence. We’ll cover how to respond to common questions\, highlight your psychology experience\, and follow up professionally. \n⚠️ Important Details\nStudents are expected to attend all three sessions.\nSpace is limited and a waitlist may be implemented.\nBe prepared to complete brief tasks between sessions and to engage fully during each session—this is not a sit-and-get series! \nREGISTER HERE \n\nThe Department of Psychology is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event.
