Undergrad Grace Flanagan
Grace is a senior with majors in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies, and a certificate in Education and Educational Services. She currently works as a Family Interaction Specialist at the Canopy Center in Madison. In this role, she supports parent-child interactions for families involved with Child Protective Services and documents observations for use by social workers and within the legal system. Through this experience, Grace has worked with diverse family systems and supported child development using trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate practices.

Undergrad Maia DeWinter
Maia DeWinter is a senior double-majoring in Psychology and Gender & Women’s Studies, with a certificate in LGBTQ+ Studies. She is currently the President of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and has previously worked as a case manager assistant and behavioral line therapist. These experiences have strengthened her interests in mental health advocacy, evidence-based intervention, and supporting diverse and marginalized populations.

Undergrad Hema Subramanian
Hema Subramanian is a junior pursuing a major in Psychology with certificates in Entrepreneurship and Disability Rights and Services. She currently serves as a Peer Wellness Coach at Rec Well, where she supports student wellness through a holistic, student-centered approach. This experience has strengthened her interest in pursuing Clinical Psychology.

Mya Suneja is a senior majoring in Psychology and Neurobiology. She is currently working as a research assistant in the University of Wisconsin's Department of Psychiatry and in the Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Neurosurgery, where she aims to contribute to meaningful research in the fields of public health, mental health, and social justice. Mya is pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Health after her undergraduate studies.

Graduate student Samuel Luther
Sam Luther completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he developed a passion for the effect of mindset on performance. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Upon finishing his Master's, Sam plans to become a mental health counselor specializing in issues including motivation and anxiety.

Graduate student Mackenzie Szweda
Mackenzie Szweda completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies, with a certificate in Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she developed a strong interest in child and adolescent mental health as well as development. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mackenzie plans to work with children and adolescents doing preventative care in mental health, eventually becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The work she will do may look like specializing in therapy for children and adolescents or working in organizations that provide mental health support for youth, to engaging with youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

Graduate student Brooke Sasia
Brooke completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is currently a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at UW-Madison working with Dr. James Li. Her research focuses on understanding the development of externalizing behavior and improving how mental health problems are diagnosed. Clinically, she is interested in conducting forensic assessments with legal system-impacted individuals and spent two years as a doctoral practicum student at Mendota Mental Health Institute. Upon completion of her PhD, she aims to become a tenure-track professor and clinical psychologist.

Graduate student Shu Kai Tan
Shu Kai Tan completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he developed an interest in human behavior. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Analytics at the Wisconsin School of Business. Shu Kai plans to become a consultant.
Graduate student Windy Vang
Windy Vang completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies at Metropolitan State University, where she developed a strong interest in mental health and developmental processess across the lifespan of all age groups. She is currently pursuing a Master of Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and in her second year doing internship at Anesis Therapy Center. Windy plans to become a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in providing therapy for PTSD and depression through a narrative lens. She is also doing research at the Pain Context and Innovation Lab with Dr. Shinye Kim at the University of Wisconsin-Madison looking at how pain is expressed within minority communities with respect to culture and language.

Recent alum Elizabeth Northrop '25
Elizabeth Northrop completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Legal Studies with a certificate in Criminal Justice. Her clinical and research interests center on the intersection of clinical psychology and the legal system, with a focus on forensic psychology. Elizabeth is currently working at Tellurian Inc. as a Behavioral Health Technician, where she works directly with clients receiving mental health and AODA services. Elizabeth recently applied for PsyD programs this cycle and is hoping to begin graduate school in the Fall.

Recent alum Haley Brown
Haley Brown completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Social Welfare at UW-Madison, where she discovered the exact path she wanted to take to meet her goal of supporting the mental health and growth of individuals in her community. She graduated in December 2024, and has been working full time as a psychometrist at Madison Neuropsychological Services (MNS) since then. At MNS, Haley has gained hands-on experience working directly with a wide variety of patients and collaborating with licensed psychologists to determine diagnoses, based on clinical observation and neuropsychological assessments. She has so far been accepted into a couple graduate schools, and will tentatively attend UW-Whitewater for her graduate studies in social work beginning in Fall 2026. After completing MSW, Haley aims to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides mental health and substance use counseling.

Recent alum Katelyn Iverson
Katelyn Iverson earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies from UW–Madison in May 2023, where she discovered her passion for working with children and supporting mental health. She went on to complete her Master of Social Work at UW–Madison in May 2025. During her time as a student, Katelyn worked at the UW–Madison Child Development Lab, volunteered in the Learning, Cognition, and Development Lab, and served as a Teaching Assistant in the Human Development & Family Studies department. She currently works as an Elementary School Social Worker with the Sun Prairie Area School District.

Recent alum Abby Simon '25
Abby Simon graduated from UW-Madison in May of 2025 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Neurobiology. While a student, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant, discovering a love for developmental psychology research. She currently holds a position as the Infant Learning Lab's Lab Manager, where she supervises undergraduate RAs, runs various experimental studies, and assists in the creation of new research projects. She plans to apply to PhD programs in developmental psychology, with the hopes of continuing a career in research.

Haley Fuhr '19
Haley Fuhr completed her degree at UW Madison in psychology and neurobiology, which helped build a bridge to explore a variety of mental health related paths. Haley went on to complete a master of science in art therapy and clinical counseling, and is a licensed professional counselor in training, and provisional art therapist for neurodivergent students at Marquette university. She focuses on helping build executive functioning skills, social skills, and managing overall mental wellbeing. She has worked in several mental health roles, and a primary point of her work, is focused on building individual relationships as a vital component of healing and safety. Haley has worked with many clients who have experienced trauma, family instability, frequent transitions, and identity exploration, where she focuses on highlighting the client’s strengths and personal story to evoke empowerment and change over time.

Christopher Wirth '97
Christopher Wirth graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from UW Madison and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood University. Christopher has experience as a mental health clinician within a multitude of settings including community mental health, outpatient therapy, in-home therapy, and within integrated academic health systems. Currently he is a Supervisor, Behavioral Health at UW Health in Madison, WI, and also maintains a small private practice in the area. In both settings, Christopher treats individuals and families throughout the lifespan with a variety of presenting concerns. Christopher also served on the Wisconsin Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT) Board of Directors in 2019 as President. From 2022 through 2024, Christopher served on the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Board of Directors as a Director at large.

Amy Krymkowski '90
Amy Krymkowski completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at UW-Madison, where she began exploring questions many students face: Who am I becoming? What kind of work fits me? And how do I navigate change? She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations with a focus on Human Resources and is now a certified professional coach. Amy runs a private coaching practice supporting professionals and leaders through career transitions and moments of uncertainty, helping them find clarity and create paths that feel meaningful and aligned.

Fisnik Lumani '17
Fisnik Lumani earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where the Wisconsin Idea deeply influenced his commitment to service, leadership, and community impact. Building on that foundation, he has dedicated his career to advancing people strategies that strengthen both organizational performance and employee experience. He currently serves as Director of Talent at UW Credit Union, where he leads enterprise efforts spanning talent acquisition, learning and development, leadership development, and broader talent management initiatives.
In his role, Fisnik partners closely with leadership to design and implement forward-looking workforce strategies, enhance hiring and onboarding practices, and build scalable leadership development programs. His work focuses on aligning talent systems, technology, and organizational design to support growth, engagement, and operational excellence. Known for his strategic mindset and people-first approach, Fisnik is passionate about cultivating inclusive, high-performing cultures where employees and leaders can thrive.

Aisha Rosh '08
Dr. Aisha Rosh is a Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist working at both UW Behavioral Health and directing a private practice. Specialties include anxiety, sport psychology, developing and directing the Pediatric Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) multi-disciplinary clinic, and conducting and supervising comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations. She also participates in research, teaching, and training of clinical psychology interns, postdoctoral residents, and psychiatry residents and fellows at the medical school.
