Assistant Professor Nick Buttrick was named a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science in February. The APS Rising Star designation is presented to outstanding APS Members in the earliest stages of their career post-PhD. The designation recognizes researchers whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.

Read more about Buttrick’s work examining how public mass shootings affect communities for years afterward and understanding the worldviews that support firearm ownership. More of his research is available on his website.

Congratulations, Dr. Buttrick!
