Unveiling the Hidden Curriculum of Post-Bac Research

October 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

🧠 Seeking a Job in Research After Getting your Bachelors in Psychology?

Explore a nationwide catalog of post-baccalaureate research jobs and fellowships designed for students seeking additional research experience before graduate school. Learn how to navigate the often-hidden curriculum of finding opportunities, building your skills, and preparing for advanced study.

Antiracism Learning and Action in Neuroscience (ALAN), in collaboration with Psychology Career Advisor Stephanie Scholze, will provide a guided overview of the catalog and related resources, followed by a panel of current PhD students who will share their experiences transitioning from undergraduate study to research and graduate training.

✅ Receive a guided walkthrough of ALAN’s nationwide research opportunity catalog

✅ Discover post-baccalaureate research jobs and fellowships across the country

✅ Learn strategies for navigating the “hidden curriculum” of research careers and graduate school preparation

✅ Hear firsthand advice from first- and second-year PhD students in psychology, including clinical and developmental programs

✅ Ask questions and gain practical insights about post-bac research, graduate school, and research careers

Designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds and anyone interested in research careers, this event offers practical resources, insider knowledge, and direct access to PhD students who recently navigated these pathways themselves.
