Professor Morton Ann Gernsbacher

Morton Ann Gernsbacher, Vilas Research Professor and Sir Frederic Bartlett Professor of Psychology, has been named the recipient of the prestigious Norman Anderson Lifetime Achievement Award by the Society of Experimental Psychologists (SEP).

The Society praised “her original and important contributions, both wide and deep, spanning multiple areas including the cognitive processes underlying language comprehension, the cognitive and neural processes associated with autism, and both scientific communication and innovative teaching methods.”

With this award, Dr. Gernsbacher joins an elite echelon of scholars at the top of the Society of Experimental Psychologists, which is an organization that represents only 5–10% of practicing experimental psychologists in North America.

Congratulations, Dr. Gernsbacher!
