Research Foci: Our research focuses on the role of psychological factors in the health and well-being of cancer patients. Current projects focus on developing and testing behavioral interventions for cancer patients. We also investigate interactions between psychological factors and immune functioning, as well as psychological adjustment to a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Duties/Type of Work: Responsibilities vary based on interest and experience, but research assistants are typically responsible for enrolling, administering study questionnaires, and conducting interviews with patients in the UW Cancer Center or inpatient hospital and coordinating collection of study data during participants’ follow-up clinic visits. Additional responsibilities include data entry, telephoning and mailing materials to study participants,
