What are some of the benefits of your psychology degree?
My degree set the foundation for understanding theory in relation to the practice of psychotherapy.
How did you find your way to your current profession?
I began working with children with Autism after graduating from UW Madison, and through that experience recognized that one component that was often overlooked was the effects of mental health issues experienced by one member of a family on other members. This led me to explore Marriage and Family Therapy as a career, which then led to my current practice as an outpatient psychotherapist.
What advice would you give to students graduating with a psychology degree?
Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone!
