Degree(s): BA Psychology and Music Performance, UW–Madison
Current Occupation: PhD Student in Joint Clinical/Developmental Psychology Program

What are some of the benefits of your psychology degree?
Beyond the excellent coursework at the Department of Psychology, I benefited from the incredible opportunity of working in three research labs with leaders in the field of child and adolescent development (Drs. Pollak, Goldsmith, and Davidson). The research skills I learned during my undergraduate career were foundational for the graduate-level research I am currently conducting.

How did you find your way to your current profession?
During my tenure at UW-Madison, I received excellent guidance from my psychology professors and research mentors. I was advised to find a post-bac research position before applying to PhD programs, which helped me further refine my research interests prior to graduate school.

What advice would you give to students graduating with a psychology degree?
My advice is to take advantage of the amazing research and volunteering opportunities available at UW-Madison and in the surrounding community!
